Turtle Island
The officially agreed name for the contiguous lands of this hemisphere is "Turtle Island", chosen by a majority of less than 3 votes during the formation of the NAN government. Those component nations whose origin myths involve a great turtle's shell were slightly more numerous than any other creation myth of how the lands came to be.
If Polynesia had been part of the meeting, rather than form a separate alliance of sea-focused places, they would have named this place something different entirely.
Note: The land mass known as Kalaallit Nunaat is not a part of Turtle Island. Nor is the Moon. No agreement has yet been reached as to whether the island nations east of the contiguous land mass (near the equator) are part of NAN, but they are quite certain that they are not part of the supercontinent. To disputants who try to claim that they are, the island nations cordially invite them to walk over here before repeating such a claim.
