Temple of Shariana

Location

The Temple of Shariana is situated in the central quadrant of Hegelind and run by the Coven of devoted non-denominational sisters known as Sisters of Shariana

History

The temple was constructed in 830 AoE by the Horath Assembly as a way to maintain levels of healthcare in the ailing economic climates that are common within times of war. The great city of Hegelind encompasses this temple and its rambling gardens.   Built from Greystone mined manually to the north and then treated to bring out the natural whorls within, this amazing structure stands near to 200ft tall and sprawls out into the surrounding gardens for several acres.

Facilities

Scholars and medics from all over Everia come here to study and seek knowledge in the healing arts within the temple's training wing.  There is a sectioned-off area in the northern wing that is believed to be devoted to necromantic studies. The rest of the expansive building is dedicated to a variety of medicine and is also one of the only places on the continent that you are guaranteed help, be you peasant, pope, or plumber.   Built over a natural cave system, the temple sub-levels are utilized as the city morgue and its expansive grounds as the graveyard. Many people from all walks of life are buried here including such known folk as, Herrick Mortimer, Kalian Daggerfall IV, and the daughter of Keeper Valdeira Stormshatter.   Inscribed on a tarnished brass plaque near the entrance is "Opened and Sanctified by Seeker Ilsen Banne with the assistance of the Circle."
