Ventaine Academy
This boarding school for primary education was founded in the era following the Collapse and is known for both its long history and ability to adapt to the times. Pronounced "Vo'antaine", the academy is named after the naturalist and early settler of Catheal, Brenner Ventaine. He donated the large lakefront plot as part of his will. It was his daughter Annesina who began building the school.
East of the city docs on several dozen hectares bordering the Lac Grande De Cul, Ventaine Academy occupies some of the most valuable lands in the city. The academy buildings themselves are grand and sprawling, but take up only a small portion of the overall school property.
