My trusted Galaree, venerable sister of House Chalass,
I write you of my successes on this mission and of the honor it brings to our house.
I received the rank of Subordinate Junior Sapper and was promoted out of the reserves. My skill in tunneling is unmatched by the ninth and tenth weakest in our unit, though I would still have been proud to join Vilha and Neth feeding our fuel stores.
Our boring unit was on the wall when we broke thru to the mine. This is an achievement to celebrate! The field commander awarded our unit with an extra sack of rations, which I enjoyed in solemn tribute; as the rest of them died from the explosion.
I entered the mine reassigned to an infantry support unit, and we did battle with the creatures of this unholy domain. I slew two leeches and only seven members of my unit. Our house is now graced with soldier's blood, but my injuries will overtake me soon. I expect this to be my last letter. I ask only that you honor these great achievements as if they were your own.

Tunneling slowed and breach delayed successfully. Equipment sabotage pulled reinforcements as expected. Breach of outer mine occurred on timetable to match Operation Interlude.
Other mine chamber collapses confirmed: West mine on schedule. South mine early by fifteen minutes; forced engagement and dispatch of the embedded army.
Secondary mission failed:
Unable to collapse east mine. Tremors awoke native wildlife. Detonator spoiled.
