Key of Fire

AKA "Nathair" (na-heth)

A snake with a diameter of 3cm and a length of 1m made of fire that serves as one of the four keys to The Cave of Confluence.
"Nathair", as the snake has been dubbed by Kyra Nahib, seems to have been passed back and forth between the current Marquis Nahib and the Sage of the Blowing Wind people in The Cahnars for decades or possibly longer.
The snake appears to be able to control the amount of heat and light it emits. As an arcane construct, it can be "wielded" by an arcane spellcaster and wrapped harmlessly around their arm or another part of their body. The snake can do this willingly but it also seems possible to suppress its power in order to wield it in such a way. When threatened it can expand in size by a factor of aproximately 10, becoming 30cm thick, 10m long, and 100x heavier.
Although the extent of its free-will is unclear (particularly given that two other keys seem to be an inanimate object and a song), its behaviour so far indicates that it does not wish to be used to open the Breach in The Weave.

In the Campaign

The snake was inherited by Kyra Nahib from her father Azim as part of his death blossom. It appears to have an affinity for Kyra, particularly given that it attempted to defend her from the scary wizard.
