Allencourt Clan
The Allencourt Clan was the largest and most powerfull clan of the United States of Britannia and was home to the royal family of Britannia.
History of the Clan
The Allencourt Clan was founded in the early twentieth century by Anderson Allencourt as a family corporation after his parent were killed by spirits. Anderson along with his sister was among the first mages—worthy humans, who had been granted supernatural powers by a Kami during the events of the massacre. They would monetize their abilities, generating cheap electricity, and helping to take care of problems caused by spirits.
Over time they became one of the largest faimly corpations in the United States and the British Empire. By the 21st century, they would begin to be called a clan and would be one of the founding members of the American Society of nobility.
With the rise of Emperor Arthur, the clan expanded into the political sphere, and as his most powerfull allies they benifited the most. After Arthur's death, the clan managed by itself to gain a majority in the senate and house, which allowed them to circumvate the emperor at times. Much of the 22nd and 23rd centuries were spent fighting the Emperor for control, culmantiing in the clan replacing the Emperor with a puppet. Eventialy the clan's rivaly with the Emperor would restart leading the Allencourt Crise which would destoy the clan as countless members withdrew to found thier own clans. Those who stayed were killed in the varous fighting in and amoung the capital, and with the fall of the capital to the later Emperor Alastair what was left dispanded and joined over clans.
Structure and Assets
The Allencourt clan was lead by an an Elderman and unlike post restoration clans, they were no Electors. The Elderman directed the Allencourt Company and its subsidiaries, and oversaw the clan’s many settlements and members, as well as represented the clan in the Imperial Senate.
While individual families have traditions and arts which they favor, most members who are not part of the military, are employees of the Allencourt Clan Company.
Allencourt Clan Company
The Allencourt Clan Company (ACC) was one of the largest in Britannia and formed a large part of local economies where its families are located which grew to include the majority of duchies. During its height the ACC was a leader in the production of weapons, ships, electronics, computers, agriculture goods, and other goods/services. Most Importantly it also had several monoplies which were somewhat gaurenteed by the Emperor.
The company also maintained an army through the Allencourt Security Company (ASC), a subsidiary, which protects company sites, and is often financed out to the different colonies and regions as a private police/military force. The ASC in total have a small army and a small fleet, However, it was spread out across the empire, as such wasn't of much use during the clan's conflicts with the Emperor.

The Allencourt clan had at its height dozens of duchies allowing them to control the Senate. In addition, where the clan holds duchies, they also held most of the lower titles and a held a controlling share of the duchies legislators.
