Silverlight Isles

Located off the west coast of Imera, the Silverlight Isles serve as the home of the Elven kingdom of Ilyalon. Originally settled for the rich deposits of Ithyrian Silver found in it's mountains, the Isles are now better known for their unique, magically influenced environment, which has drawn in both scholars seeking to study these effects, as well as tourists who wish to see this fantastical location for themselves. It's also thanks to the defensive usage of the Isles magical nature, combined with its relatively isolated location from the mainland, also played a great role in shaping the Moon Elves into the peaceable people they are today.

Geography

The Silverlight Isles are surrounded by the waters of the Argent Sea, and have beaches along all of their coastlines. The Isles themselves are covered in a mix of lush forests, small lakes, fields, and mountains.

Localized Phenomena

The Silverlight Isles are the site of an especially powerful concentration of magic, giving rise to many unique natural phenomena. Much of the plantlife, particularly the trees, flowers, and fruit, exist in shades of blue and violet, and a number of the flowers found throughout the Isles glow in the dark. Additionally, the Isles have an atmosphere that many visitors have frequently described as calming and, in some places, even dreamlike, and due to the magic in the region being strongly tied to dreams and illusions, illusion magic can be cast much more easily here, and any anomalies that occur here are illusion based (such as mist or auroras).

Natural Resources

The Silverlight Isles have arable land for farming, including plenty of fruits, and there's a strong fishing industry throughout the surrounding waters. There are also deposits of Ithyrian Silver in the mountains, which the locals mine both for trade and domestic use.

Tourism

The tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty of the Isles have drawn in many visitors from beyond their shores, from diplomats and merchants to common sightseers.
