Built near the border between Myrell and the Elf Kingdoms, the city of Lynvael is considered by many to be one of the greatest centres of magical research and training in the known world. The cities position near the lands of the Elves has played a vital role in it gaining this reputation, as it would often serve as a place where human and Elf scholars would exchange knowledge, furthering their understanding of magic. With its wealth of magical knowledge, as well as the prestigious Arcaea College, Lynvael continues to play a vital role in the advancement of magic throughout the world.
Demographics
The population of Lynvael is predominantly human, though its proximity to the Elvish Kingdoms has resulted in a large number of Elves as well. Mages, scholars, and archivists make up the majority of occupations within the city.
Government
The city of Lynvael is governed by the mayor, who answers to the Myrellian Monarch, and collects taxes from the citizens on their behalf. The cities treasury is used to maintain the businesses and infrastructure of the city, with the majority being dedicated to maintaining and supplying the Arcaea College.

Thanks to its location near the border between Myrell and the Elvish Kingdoms, Lynvael is one of the largest centres of trade between the two nations.

A number of magically adept adventurers have also been known to pass through the city, often seeking information or training.
Architecture
The buildings of Lynvael are built from stone and wood. Additionally, due to its long history with the Elvish Kingdoms, some elements of Elvish architecture can be found throughout the city, largely artistic in purpose.
