Brotherhood of the Tides
The Brotherhood of the Tides are a Navalonian order of knights established to protect the seas of Imera, including sailing routes and coastal settlements. Modeling themselves after Neryn, the Elari of water, and influenced by much of the culture of their homeland of Navalonia, the Brotherhood is unique among the various knightly orders of the Human kingdoms for having more of a naval focus than their fellows, with many among the order being skilled sailors. Thanks to their efforts, the Brotherhood is well respected among both the island kingdom of Navalonia and the Azure Coast of Imera, and is regarded as being one of the greatest naval forces on the continent.
Structure
Knight-Admiral: The highest rank one can achieve within the Brotherhood, responsible for overseeing the order in its entirely, including managing the fleet, promoting new Chapter Masters, and serving as the Brotherhoods chief representative.
Chapter Master: The second-highest rank a Sea Knight can attain within the Brotherhood, the Chapter Master is responsible for overseeing matters directly affecting the region surrounding their Chapter, including recruiting new members, managing the ships under their chapters command, directly leading the Brotherhood in the largest, most vital of military actions.
Knight-Captain: Rank given to senior members of the Brotherhood, responsible for commanding individual ships and their crew.
Knight: The rank-and-file members of the Brotherhood, though they can fill a variety of roles in the naval aspect of the order.
Paladin: Not a rank, but a title reserved for the rare few members of the Brotherhood who are capable of using divine magic alongside their martial skills. While the Brotherhood aren't a religious knightly order, their focus on protecting the seas of Imera, as well as many of their tenets aligning with the ideals associated with Neryn, does result in a few members manifesting the ability to use water-aligned divine magic.

Culture
Like all knightly orders, the Brotherhood of the Tides hold themselves to a code of chivalric conduct that emphasises honourable behaviour, respect, and a desire to help those most in need. Additionally, the Brotherhood has a strong sense of loyalty to their homeland of Navalonia, and have adopted a number of their cultural traits (such as their appreciation for artistic pursuits).
Public Agenda
The Brotherhood of the Tides was established to protect the human kingdom of Navalonia, as well as the Azure Coast of mainland Imera and the Naitan Sea. This typically includes aiding in stopping criminal activity within coastal settlements (particularly large port cities), dealing with pirate activity (including hunting ships and dismantling hideouts), and hunting dangerous sea beasts.
