Viktus Mecarie

A clarainian elf prodigy in the arcane arts, born in the city of Midcourt, that turned to dark magic and illegal forms of sanguimancy at the end of his teens. He created what is known as the Spawn Block Crystals, and his exploits would have come to fruition during the later parts of the Age of Blazing Strife, had it not been for a band of adventurers that stopped and destroyed him two days after the Empire learned of him publicly.   His defeat was accomplished by defeating his minions, infiltrating his castle, shoving a wand up his rectum and sending him flying to explode like a firework, after which the heroes danced in the rain of his blood.   In a way, he did get the last word, for the adventurers suffered differently styled horrid fates of their own. Two of the members went on a drunken rampage on top of donkeys and set themselves, several city guards and a restaurant on fire, another tried to steal the loot of their victory from the other members and was pummeled to death by the final member in two quick hits, who himself died from poisoning later due to traps in Mecarie's castle but was to prideful to say anything about it to the groans of the gods.   So, in the end, Victus Mecarie died ridiculously, but so did his killers, so he assuredly got the last laugh from beyond the grave.

The Media of Viktus Mecarie

There has been theatrical plays and bards' songs and other forms of retelling of his humorous defeat, for he is an iconic national joke villain and has become as well-recognized for his mistakes and short-lived reign of terror as he has for his creations.   "A Friend in the Block", a mature tale in book form about how Viktus simply wanted a hurt friend to survive and therefore kept them in crystals made from his own blood.   "Mecarie Cares", a horror story in picture book-form where Viktus befriends several small, sentient, cutesy animals and keeps them immobilized in crystals to appreciate them forever.   "You Lousy Adventurers", a comical and satirical version in theater of the final battle between Viktus and the adventurers who exploded him.   "Mecarie's Curious Castle", a tabletop game modeled after Mecarie's actual headquarters.   "The Life of a Mecarie Minion", the collective biographies of a few of Mecarie's surviving underlings about him and how they saw him as an employer.
