The Safeguards
The Empire's cities' second line of defense, after the walls themselves.
Whenever the outer walls are threatened beyond their capacity to defend, they are lowered and the Supergolems known as the Safeguards are revealed. The Supergolems activate, stand to three times the height of the walls and attack any designated intruders with overwhelming strength, large shapeshifting whitestone weapons, laser eyes and destructive magics.
