The Ferian Confederacy
The second-largest power on Sor Rusk and, arguably, in the world. An alliance of city-states on the western side of Sor Rusk that has had frequent wars with humanity for many millennia.
First, it was the pre-Empire nations, and there was success in their endeavours to wipe out of drive humanity of the face of the continent. When the Empire took over, any following war the ferians launched on the west was met with absolute failure. The superior navy of the Empire halted the majority of fleets crossing the Diamond Sea before they could ever make landfall.
In the rare cases when their feet touched imperial soil, the military and air force, as well as the Safeguards, proved to be too much for the wind-wielding ferians.

Architecture
Ferian architecture is round and leveled, with the width of settlements increasing in height away from the center. The bigger settlements, like cities, have multiple centers. When someone speaks of whirlwinds in the context of Ferian settlements, they refer to the Whirlwinds in the center of Ferian settlements. As the Ferians are a people that venerate the winds, the construction of their settlements is adapted to the usage of those winds. There are no stairs in Ferian villages, towns and cities, but sliding roads and flat walkways. These flat paths all connect to the center of the settlement where citizens and travelers travel through by using the Whirlwinds as a boost to glide on the smooth stone. As the Ferians refuse to accommodate non-ferians by building stairs, magical items have been created so as to simulate Ferian Windwalking. The Gaijeen Aristocracy, being of Ferian culture but human birth, incorporates both methods of inter-settlement travel; smooth stone roads and stairs.—————————————————————————————————
