The Dark Castles
The castles that The Dark Lord built in the image of his own Overcastle for his generals and other commanding officers to use as their own personal headquarters during his reign in the Age of Blazing Strife.
Today, the castles still stand defiant against efforts to destroy them. But since the fall of their master, the many doors within has opened only for wielders of the Black Keys. These keys are spread out across the former territories of The Dark Lord and relatively many have been found since. Yet many doors within the castles remain unopened.
Any who opens one of these doors with a Black Key will be faced with a challenge. Should they survive, for it is a dangerous ordeal and not all do, it is said that they will be rewarded with riches, dark powers and darker weapons.
After The Dark Lord defeat, his name remains unknown, but when the first daring group managed to defeat their local Dark Castle, the one amongst them to have been rewarded due to unknown criteria revealed that she acquired treasures, weapons, powers, the service of a dark beast and The Dark Lord's name. This knowledge, she said, demanded her to leave east. When asked where in the east, she responded with saying, "Beyond the Horizon's Mist." It has been reported that neither she nor her party was ever seen again.
