The legend of Zar the Fearless

Zar the Fearless is one of the well-known legends and hero figures of the past. His storied actions at the end of the serpien war are taught in the Dominion military, and he is one the most loved figures of poetry and children's stories.
Zar the Fearless lived in the era when the serpiens were pushed back, and in the end, they were eradicated by the other nations. His most fabled achievement was his last.
He was moving with his unit to join the forces of the orc military when an elf stumbled upon them and pleaded for their help. The elf's settlement was a few hours away, and serpiens attacked them. After quickly questioning the elf, Zar realized that the serpien force was multiple times bigger than his. Aware that the serpiens outnumbered his unit, knowing that his snake charmer specialists would be a great boon in the upcoming battle and the fact they have to protect elves, still without hesitation, they started a forced march to save as many lives as possible.
When they reached the town, they saw the trees and the houses on the trees burning. There they saw serpiens capturing and taking away young and old, men and women. Without any hesitation, they stormed the enemy. The battle was fierce. Neither side asked for nor granted mercy. At the end of the fighting, only his most trusted and skilled men and women were around him. His Terrible Ten. But they faced dozens of serpiens. Knowing that it was the end for them, they still fought on. At last, only five serpiens remained, and Zar was mortally wounded. With his unit's war cry on his lips, he charged the enemy, slaying all the serpiens and himself collapsing to the ground, dead.
His heroic deed remains with us thanks to the elves he and his unit saved. The elves sent runners to the army Zar was joining and told the tale of the heroes. This tale keyed up the courage of all the warriors that during the final battle against the serpien, the slogan "for Zar" became a rallying cry, and during the purge, the last thing every serpien heard was the name of Zar.
The greatest of heroes are always born during the greatest of dangers
— Durrash, orc warlord
