Subterran

Subterran is the seventh biggest nest within Aerie. The only nests greater in size and residents are the capital, their most extensive military encampment, and the four regional nests. It is still called a nest because of tradition, but it resembles the settlements of dwarves who lived Then.

In the past, Subterran was a regular nest located on one of the plateaus of the mountain. At that time, the nest was called Sunny Roost, but more and more Burrowers moved here and worked inside the Cutter. Unfortunately, the vangola, used heavily by the Burrowers as a draft animal, can not tolerate bright light for long, and they had to relocate them inside the mountain. But that introduced another challenge of taking care of them. It took a lot of time for the valturo to reach the pens of the vangola every day. So slowly but steadily, every functional and residential building moved inside the Cutter. That was the time when the nest was renamed Subterran. The old nest still exists, and part of it is maintained too. It is used by the guest who comes to Subterran and is not used to the darkness or prefer the clear sky above their heads.

Subterran is the center of the Burrowers. All the crucial missions inside the Cutter are organized and carried out here. It is also the primary training nest for Burrower prospects. There are several training centers for the Burrowers, but the best is trained here, and the hunter branch is trained here only, taking advantage of a military training nest not far from Subterran.

The biggest cache of minerals, crystals, and intal is stored here, making the nest the most important merchant nest of the Aerie.

I'm not too fond of the tight structure of Subterran, but I like even less the open sky of the nests
