Matriarch's Hill

The Matriarch's Hill is known by other names too. The First Hill, The Hill, Mother of All. About a century ago, the queens decided to plant a tree on the hill in reverence to the Matriarch. Since then, one more name has been used to name the hill. The Hill of Life.
The day when the skat'ra planted the tree became the birthday of the Matriarch and the whole skat'ra nation. Every year they organize days-long festivities at the hill. These festivals are often used as political discussions because dignitaries of other countries attend them to pay their respects to the Matriarch.
The hill itself is like a fortress. During the construction of the hill and the underground passages, the workers used many layers of excavated earth to thicken its walls. There are only a couple of entrances to the hill. Squadrons of warriors and sentinels guard the entries to ensure the safety of the Matriarch. These guards and the hill workers are from all the other hills. The workers and warriors of the Matriarch are long dead, and it is the responsibility and honor of the queens to send their subjects to the Matriarch's hill.
Within the hill, there are currently two rooms that the official guests can visit. One keeps a record of the skat'ra history. From the Rending and the appearance of the Matriarch, through encountering the other nation, until now, the age of peace and prosperity. The second room is like a museum of grown and crafted items and services the skat'ra trade with other nations, like their silk, the Thrill Hill, and various grains. Gossipy guests sometimes remark that the skat'ra drug, the Mind Reader, should soon be added to the museum collection.
Everybody knows that these festivals are just propaganda of the skat'ra. At least they are doing it well, and it is an excellent place to meet fellow politicians
