Elysium Apartments
Purpose / Function
A residential building where people of all colored morals come and go. One of the cheapest places to live in the city, the apartments, are nothing more than a studio, with a small kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a room with a Murphy Bed. This place is just above a flop house in rating, and that's being generous.
History
Originally built as an overnight hotel for travelers on the nearby railroad. Over the years when passenger rail has faded it was converted into cheap apartments for the nearby University. Over the years the owners have become less interested in who rented and if they maintained the building. Now considered one of the lowest places to live in the city. The walls haven't seen paint in living memory of the residents, and is faded and peeling off the walls. The elevator hasn't worked in god knows when, and the stairwells smell of garbage and urine.
The apartment complex is six stories tall and has approximately thirty studio apartments in it. The first floor has the lobby, building managers office, and the laundry room. One side the the building over looks the Shepherd Street Terminal, the main train station in Mount Ridge.
