Dracos

The Hero King (a.k.a. Darkog the Bold (Dwarf), Draslyth SilverSoul (Elf), Tracondos Ironfeet (Gnome), Dracade Over-the-hill (Halfling))

Dracos was born to the risen goddess Shalana 18 years before her ascension. A fatherless Asimar child, it was said the divine love that Ovearon had for his mother brought him into this world. As a king he brought the scattered tribes of Paladius together, forged the High Alliance and stood against the undead armies of Hordain when all the world trembled before the might of the Mage Warlords. His death giving his own life to stop Hordain saw his spirit ascend and his mythic deeds rewarded with true divinity. Though in truth a cult had already started to worship him years before this. Noble, Brave and a bit reckless Dracos is the epitome of the warrior knight who plants his feet against the tide of evil and dares evil to advance upon him.   Dracos can be both an avenger and defender righting grave injustice or defending the weak. It matters not to him how great the threat is he will stand against it and he will ask no being to do what he will not. Heroism and courage personified he stands as the prince of the good aligned gods. A noble hero who halts the wicked and avenges the wronged.   Outside of battle Dracos is a relaxed deity who enjoys horse riding, a good spar and a pint of fine ale. Some find it strange that a boisterous smile and ready laugh belong to a god who is so adamant about defending the defenceless but his serious nature is balanced by a surprisingly down to earth attitude.   It is also well known among the faith that Dracos even when he was mortal longed for the Goddess El’sair and they say he still does often questing as he did when mortal to impress her in spite of her vow of chastity this to many knights is the epitome of courtly love.   Dracos is depicted as a tall handsome man with a finely combed beard and hair wearing a set of full plate standing ready to face all foes and fears of the world with resolute courage.

Paladin Code   Dracos is a popular deity among Paladins and ascribes to a simple but meaningful set of ideals some of which include.   1.Do not belittle they can not do as you, nor stroke the ego of your betters. You do as you can and must and so shall others.   2.Serf, knight or noble it matters not, a hero's heart is never defined by blood.   3.Courage like a sword holds no value if untested.   -Lexicon of Gallant Deeds   -Immortuos Tactica Regulus   Book wrote in life about how to battle undead armies and necromancers. Also contains many useful footnotes and muses from Dracos himself.   -The Gutsy Guide to Glorious Gallantry for Gritty Go-Getters   First written as a satirical work by the infamous playwright Wilhiem Talon to lampoon the faith this over the top guide to heroic action, courage and bold living soon found its way into regular circulation and use by the faith to whom the satire seems to have been utterly lost upon.   -The Book of Wise Weddings and courtly Romance-
