Alanor Dorath's Letter to the Wizard-Warlords

To the esteemed individuals who bear the title of Wizard-Warlord, I, Alanor Dorath, extend the dubious honor of being secretly forewarned about the impending transformation of our world. I have presented demands to several neighboring kingdoms, demanding rulership over their territories, lest they face the dire consequences of my arcane wrath. Should they fail to comply by the arrival of the summer solstice, I shall unleash a cataclysmic display of magic unlike anything witnessed before!   With a single stroke, I shall release a force so formidable that all wars will be quelled, putting an end to the era of humanity ruthlessly engaging in violence, piercing one another's chests with arrows and bolts. The true potential of magic shall be revealed, rendering futile any further loss of life in senseless conflicts. The world will tremble, united in fear of the repercussions that befall those who dare defy me. I shall be hailed as the greatest human wizard to have ever lived, demanding the arrogant elves, dwarves, and gnomes to acknowledge and respect our shared humanity.   You, my fellow Wizard-Warlords of the Heartlands, possess a unique opportunity to prepare yourselves for the inevitable submission to my arcane magnificence. Lay down your staves and embrace my superiority, for only through understanding the futility of opposing the power I possess can we usher in a world devoid of war—a world where unity and prosperity thrive under my rule.   Should you choose the path of madness and ignorance, make your peace with the gods, for I shall ascend as the arcane emperor of this new era, unchallenged and unrivaled!   I shall inaugurate a resplendent era, an empire crafted by the hand of a wizard, exclusively for wizards! Those who possess lesser aptitude in the arcane arts shall gradually fade away, making room for our true mastery over the esoteric realms. Humanity, as the rightful rulers of this world, shall ascend to its destined position, with magi leading the way. As the gods of magic reign over the pantheons, it is only natural that wizards should assume their rightful place of supremacy!   Behold, my vision of a flawless empire, untainted by war, liberated from the contamination brought by the feeble attempts of lesser practitioners. It shall emerge as an intellectual utopia, where the dull-witted and narrow-minded hold no sway over the shaping of our future. The Paradise of the Empire of Alanor Dorath eagerly awaits all those brave enough to stand beside me!   Together, we shall weave a tapestry of intellectual brilliance, an empire where wisdom, power, and enlightenment converge. Let us forge an era where the pulsating currents of magic illuminate every corner, where knowledge flows freely and our minds transcend the limitations of mere mortals. It is within this majestic empire that the true potential of wizards shall flourish, casting a radiant glow upon our existence.   Embrace the call, my brethren of the mystic arts! Unleash the full might of your arcane prowess and join me in the glorious pursuit of our collective destiny. For in the Empire of Alanor Dorath, we shall soar above the mundane, basking in the boundless splendor of our intellectual ascendancy. Together, we shall etch our names upon the annals of history, as architects of a world sculpted by the hands of wizards, forever emblazoned with the mark of our extraordinary brilliance!   -Alanor Dorath Future Emperor of the Terigoth

Purpose

Writen three months before the apocalyptic Land Shatter spell was cast this letter sent in secret to the mage warlords of the heartlands is one of the few surviving relics that grants an insight into the maddness of Alanor Dorath and his motivations for sundering the world. At least four inact copies are known to exist and are in the possession of the High Guild of the Arcane Arts. Others are suspected to be in the ownership of private collectors or lost in ruins in the Broken Isles. It is of note that genuine letters of this nature may be worth thousands of gold coins to collectors and historians.
