Career

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required to become a Hunter, just the training, expertise and will to face and survive though most, however, have some military background or combat experience. Whilst this means that anyone with a sword could call themselves a Hunter, it is commonly recognised that upon completion of five contracts that the title can be bestowed upon them. Most Hunters carry these starting contracts as a both a symbol of their status and a momento.

Payment & Reimbursement

The contracts that Hunters take on are the only means of payment for their work. The price of these contracts can vary wildly dependent on such things as the nature of the monster, the issuer of the contract, and the urgency with which it must be completed. Even the most minor contract however would offer a reward of several tens of gold peices.

Perception

Social Status

Whilst lorded for their prowess to kill and deal with the monster threat, Hunters are usually also regarded with suspicion and mistrust due to their nomadic role, and the dangerous and violent work they undertake.
