- Origin: After a truck secretly carrying around a few of the original cases of the Birthday Cola was attacked. The drivers and attackers killed each other, spilling some of the drink on the ground. A lion came around and lapped up the drink, and it changed him into the Master of the Pride.

Personal history
The Master of the Pride was a pack leader in Africa. Who was suffering more and more attacks on his leadership from younger lions, but thats just the way of life for them. But he resisted as much as he could, and it was obvious he wouldn't be leader for much longer. While looking for food one day he came across a bullet ridden truck, filled with people. Before he went to snack on a few of the bodies though; he smelled something sweet, spilling out of the back of the truck was a liquid that smelled of blood. So he began drinking it, the more he drank the more he began noticing things. He became aware, and felt stronger than ever. He searched the truck for more of the drink and finished it all.
The next few nights he grew taller than any other lion did before, his claws were sharper and he was much faster. When he saw humans approaching to film his pride as they always do, he hid behind them and listened. He somehow was able to learn the language just by listening to them. He later led his pride to a nearby lion sanctuary to keep them safe, and communicated his peaceful intentions with the people who worked there. They were speechless, and upon his request told him more about the world. None were more intrigued than Alia, a daughter of one of the workers. She was initially terrified of the huge lion and she had a strange smell compared to others, but later became his best friend at the sanctuary. She taught him games, played with his cubs, told him jokes and about her hopes and dreams. She described all the things she would do when she got older and how she would help all the beautiful lions in the world. She was always a welcome addition to his morning, until one morning she wasn't. He looked all around the sanctuary for her but she was gone, then he asked everyone at once where she was, and felt only sadness in response. She was sick, that was the strange smell on her that made her stick out, and she finally passed away. He would often visit her grave just outside the sanctuary.
Even though he felt great pain over the loss of Alia. He felt safe there with his pride, no worries and guaranteed food, her memory would live on in their happiness. He learned a lot, the good and bad of humanity. He thought he'd never experience the worst of it in the sanctuary. That was until a gang of poachers raided it, killing almost everyone. Before he turned his back on peace, he buried all of his former friends beside Alia. He then tracked down all of the poachers and slaughtered them, with his pride dead and the only good humans he thought gone, he decided he would bring humanity to heel.
