Woederland Organization in Superia | World Anvil

Woederland

A secret organization whose original mission was to maintain the power of Tutumayre's Royalty, Woederland's goal has changed to one of causing destruction, agony and misery. Its members are all over the world, embeded in governments, foiling diplomatic action for peace and prosperity. Even still, they also work towards an unknown master plan divised by their leader.   With members in positions of powers, at least 200 years existance, and unknown Supers at their side, the true full power of Woederland is yet to be seem.

History

The first recorded activity of Woederlands tracks back to the beginning of the 19th century, in Tutumayre. The Woers were violent supporters of the nobles during the People's Revolution. Earlierst records give them credit of bombings, assinations and other attacks. Heroes from the time opposed the group, and their attacks lost efficiency as more members got defeated, emprisioned or exiled.   As the nobles lost the conflict, the Woers continued to attack the new institutions in an act of rebellion. Government quickly declared them enemies, and its believed they left the country afterwards. Some records state Woers settled in far away colonies, while others fled to neighboring countries. There, the surviving members aimed to gain power and influence by any means.   During that time, the group also became more covert. They no longer made statements of their existance or alliances, or took credit as before. In the following century, the organization's structure changed closer to the current system. Not only their secrecy, but the self-governing independant branches of similar power to prevent snitching and blackmail.   Research into the group brings evidence of possible infighting during most of the 19th century. These fights seem to have been mostly caused by individual attempts to lead the whole organization, and second mostly, overthrowing of the organization's branches. At somepoint in the 1870s, a definitive leader of the organization came to power and inner fighting subdued.   Investigations into the group give suspicion of Woederlands joining in both sides of the World Campaigns, during the early-20th century. These investigations theorize that he Woers took to both sides to extend the duration of conflict. Their actions included sabotaging negotiations, attacking civilian camps, non-sanctioned assassinations and more.   With members of the association a secret, there is no confirmation to these researchs and rumors. Even so, with the rise of heroes, a few Woers became faces of villany around the world in recent years. Villains and group ties to Woederland remain speculative, as well as the intentions of their unknown leader.

Structure

Given the secrecy of the organization, most discussions of its structure past and present have no confirmation. Still, and despite the group's affinity with chaos, there is a well designed system within.

Chapters

The global organization has nationwide branches, called Chapters. A group of Royals, often titled Queens and/or Kings, lead each Chapter, and are responsible for dozens to hundred members. The more elite members are further devided in Hares, Hatters and Cats.

Tea Party

The Tea Party is a rumored independant branch of the Woederlands, that answers only to Woederlands' leader. They are as stronger as most Chapters, and even stronger than others.   Their members include the Duchess of Mysery, Agonized Hatter, November Hare and Melancat.
