Bykturen

The Bykturen, also known in Undercommon as Tauren are a species of colossal-sized and imposingly built humanoid with horned heads similar to that of bulls or stags.

It isn't entirely known if the distinction between stag-antlered and bull-horned Bykturen is culturally significant or a mere cosmetic difference.
They are most often thought of as being part of the Forestfolk and associated culturally with the Widdefolk who they keep close relations with.

The Tauren are very few in numbers and most often can be found as lone wanderers or pledged to one of the countless tribes and clans of the Leshivoi Forest, commonly either as a warrior due to their impressive physical prowess or as Urdeain (spiritual leaders) due to their believed inherent closeness to the Firstborn of the Greatwood.
In their role as Urdeain the Bykturen are especially renowned as workers of fertility Magick increasing the bounty of both the land and all creatures that dwell upon it.
Perhaps in greatest tragedy compared to this due to their steadily declining numbers the Bykturen have little left of a common culture to speak of.
Most only meet others of their kind at important rituals held seasonally and therefore the proliferation of the species is hardly a guaranteed thing.
Most elder Tauren view this with a grim kind of acceptance; for such is the way of the tauren, lonesome and dire.

In the storytelling of the people of the City State of Styx the Tauren feature prominently as flesh-eating monstrosities native to the Leshivoi Forest. With their imposing horns or antlers and giant stature as well as ancient mystic traditions the Bykturen are sometimes confused for Eldritch Gods of the Forest by terrified city dwellers or caravan
