Eldest Gods
The Eldest Gods are some of the spiritual entities and divinities worshipped by the Foresttfolk of the Leshivoi Forest.
It is unclear to the ethno-theologians of the Academia Ars Magicka et Mundana wether the Eldest Gods are one and the same as the Firstborn of the Greatwood or if they constitute distinct and separate subjects of worship to the Eldest Faith.
Some scholars believe that the Edlest Gods are less primar manifestations of the objects of worship of the Eldest Faith as opposed to the animalistic and fearful revered Firstborn of the Greatwood and their offspring the Great Beasts who are as much known to cause terror as respect and awe in their mortal subject.
The Eldest Gods could, by that understanding, be considered the more caring, nurturing and "listening" aspects of the divinities of the Eldest Faith which face their worshippers while the Firstborn of the Greatwood respresent the more wrathful and primal side of it that even the Urdeain know to fear and respect rather than attempt to placate.
The Eldest Gods are most often named simultaneously with the Firstborn of the Greatwood, the two of them sharing names and in most cases being treated something like epithets of the respective Firstborn.
For example Kahari-Cathan is both the Firstborn of Wolves and the Twin Wolf Gods.
The Dread Gods are often considered to be opposing forces to the Eldest Gods as worshipped by the Forestfolk of the Leshivoi Forest.
