Eqexus
The Eqexus is the realm of the maiaaks — a vast, physical world existing parallel to the human plane. It serves as home to ancient species who walk between both realms. Its lands are rich but unforgiving, shaped by centuries of conflict, pride, and predatory grace. The realm thrives where power and survival define its order.
The Eqexus has cities of shadowed stone rise beside endless wilds where dominance and instinct rule. Though hidden from human sight, the Eqexus remains closely linked to Ethlon, its creatures crossing between worlds as whispers, myths, and monsters.
Fauna & Flora
Velith Lace
A poisonous lily native to Eqexus, known for its white petals laced with soft lavendar swirls and a faint silver glimmer that catches the light. The color deepens toward the base, forming a rich gradient of deep purple that meets crimson-red stamens at its heart. Though admired for its beauty, the Velith Lace carries a toxin called velit.History
The Eqexus was born during the Light Fracture, when the Elysian faith attempted to purge all maiaaks from existence. The ritual backfired, tearing a rift between worlds and creating a separate realm that drew in nearly every maiaak—and countless humans caught in the collapse. Those who survived found themselves within a new world, one unbound by human law.
Over time, the displaced species rebuilt, forging cities and hierarchies across the fractured land. Though the Eqexus began as an accident of divine error, it evolved into a sanctuary—and a warning — of what happens when faith attempts to rewrite creation.
Tourism
Few humans view the Eqexus as a destination worth visiting—most who enter do so by accident or necessity, not leisure. Those who willingly cross over are usually scholars, collectors, or herbalists drawn to the realm’s unique flora, which differs greatly from that of Ethlon. Rare species such as the Velith Lace attract researchers and traders alike, though survival often depends on the tolerance of the maiaaks who call the realm home.
