Lyam Cothias The Uniter

Lyam Cothias was a halfling Priest of the goddess T'lea. He earned the name 'The Uniter' when he founded his own minor order branching off from the Goddess' main temple. Which is a bit of an irony considering that he untied people by dividing part of the temple. Before Lyam founded the 'Order of Small Loves,' most temples were a reflection of both the community they served, the hierarch who ran that particular temple, and the tenants of that particular god as interpreted by both the clergy and the people.
The understanding that the gods had different facets and the god of war was both a slaughtering, raping, death machine and the keeper of codes of honor, philosopher warrior, and protector and guardian of non-warriors was not really understood well. Lyam Cothias not only changed things within his own temple, he changed them all.
Lyam's understanding of T'lea was much more encompassing than most, even today. The basic gist of his understand and the limit of most peoples concern for it is this: Gods are a primordial power that can pour forth any kind of energy associated with the primordial substance their hold dominion over. The Goddess of Love is also the Goddess of heart break, of twisted and sicked loves, between abuser and victim, of the love or addiction to drink or food, She is also the other side of the coin and is the mistress of hate from the all consuming life destroying obsessive kind to the simple petty anger we all can hold momentarily for the thoughtless actions of others. All of the gods exist thusly in some way. Not all are so easy to interpret and a true understanding of the gods seems to be beyond any mortals grasp because of our limited view, this model has progress a lot of understanding and led to the establishment of multiple orders within each temple.
