Hybrids
In the galaxy, interspecies relationships have led to the creation of Hybrids, individuals born from the union of Humans and alien species such as Durus, Drek, and Thuleian. These Hybrids inherit a mixture of physical and genetic traits from both their Human and alien ancestors, making them diverse in appearance and abilities. However, they also face social challenges due to their mixed heritage.
The Hybrid concept is divided into Generations, represented as Gen1 and Gen2. Gen1 Hybrids are the offspring of a Human and an alien, while Gen2 Hybrids are any subsequent offspring from Hybrid parents.
Mechanically, hybrids are treated as Humans, with the following modifications:
Choose one alien trait: Hybrids can select one trait from their alien ancestry.
-1 SOC: All hybrids suffer a -1 penalty to Social Standing (SOC) as a characteristic modifier. This reflects the biases and social difficulties they face in both Human and alien societies due to their mixed heritage.
-1 SOC: Durus-Hybrids face social challenges due to their hybrid nature.
Alien Trait (Choose One):
Naturally Athletic: Durus-Hybrids receive DM+1 to all Athletics checks, a trait reflecting their Durus ancestry's physical prowess.
Heightened Sense: Durus-Hybrids gain DM+1 to any Recon and Survival checks, a trait inherited from Durus ancestry
Genetics and Reproduction
Durus-Hybrids can interbreed with either Durus, Humans or Durus-Hybrids. Culture and Identity
Struggling to find acceptance in both Human and Durus societies, Durus-Hybrids often seek their own path, balancing their enhanced physical abilities with the social pressures they face. Genetic Ancestor(s)
Human
Durus
-1 SOC: Drek-Hybrids face the same social difficulties common to all hybrids.
Alien Trait (Choose One):
Bite: Drek-Hybrids can use their sharp canines in combat (Melee (natural) skill, 1D+1 damage).
Drek Work: They gain a +1 DM to any Strength-related checks when working with other Drek or Drek-Hybrids.
Genetics and Reproduction
Drek-Hybrids can reproduce with either Humans or Drek and other Drek-Hybrids. Culture and Identity
Caught between the Drek's aggressive teamwork culture and Human individualism, Drek-Hybrids often gravitate toward collaborative roles, excelling in teamwork but facing discrimination on both sides. Genetic Ancestor(s)
Human
Drek
-1 SOC: Thuleian-Hybrids suffer from societal biases, reflected in this characteristic penalty.
Alien Trait (Choose One):
Psionic Resistance: Thuleians-Hybrids have natural resilience against psionic influences. They are immune to all Telepathy-based powers, and any other Psionic checks targeting a Thuleian suffer a DM-2 penalty. However, this resistance comes at a cost, as Thuleians suffer a DM-2 penalty to PSI when attempting to learn or develop psionic abilities.
Aerobatic Combat: Thuleian-Hybrids are naturally skilled with jet packs and grav-assist equipment, gaining DM+1 to checks involving such gear.
Genetics and Reproduction
Thuleian-Hybrids are born from unions between Humans and Thuleians and can reproduce with either species or Thuleian-hybrids. Culture and Identity
Torn between the rigid clan structure of the Thuleians and the Human sense of independence, Thuleian-Hybrids often struggle to carve out their own identity while balancing psionic potential with societal expectations. Genetic Ancestor(s)
Human
Thuleian
Durus-Hybrids
Anatomy
Durus-Hybrids retain the basic Human physique but exhibit distinct Durus features, such as elongated ears that slightly taper upward, giving them a unique silhouette compared to standard humans. Their skin, hair, and eye colors can range from typical Human norms to more Durus-like characteristics.Biological Traits

Drek-Hybrids
Anatomy
Drek-Hybrids tend to retain a largely Human body structure but often feature protruding lower canines from their Drek ancestry, skin pigmentation have a characteristic mutation, with a 50/50 chance of either inheriting the skin tone of thier human ancestry or having a mutation in thier pigmentation, that is a mix between the skin tones of both ancestry, in a unique pattern.Biological Traits

Thuleian-Hybrids
Anatomy
Thuleian-Hybrids inherit a blend of Human and Thuleian traits, often manifesting in their white irises and with Caucasian skin tones as a result of the Human-Thuleian genetic mix. Hair colors vary from grey to blonde, including salt and pepper, with the rare occurrence of jet-black hair or stark white.Biological Traits
