Fleet Command

Structure

Fleet Command (FLECOM) is the Fleet branch of the Federal Armed Services.
The Branches of FLECOM are Fleet Operation, responsible for the organization of naval vessels, and Fleet Starfighter Operations, responsible for the training and organization of fighters.

Public Agenda

Protection and Defense: The primary goal of the Federal Fleet is to protect the interests, territories, and citizens of the United Federation. This includes safeguarding trade routes, defending against external threats, and maintaining security within Federation space.   Diplomatic Support: The Fleet plays a role in supporting diplomatic efforts and international relations on behalf of the United Federation. This may include conducting joint exercises with allied forces, participating in peacekeeping missions, and engaging in diplomatic initiatives to promote cooperation and mutual understanding.

Assets

The Federation's fleet primarily consists of three core vessel types:

Frigates: Versatile and fast, frigates serve as the fleet’s frontline patrol and escort vessels. They are designed for reconnaissance, rapid response, and system defense, ensuring security along trade routes and within Federation borders.
Destroyers: As the backbone of the fleet, destroyers provide firepower, versatility, and adaptability. They are equipped for both offensive and defensive operations, capable of engaging enemy vessels and safeguarding Federation assets. With advanced sensor suites, destroyers excel at detecting and tracking potential threats.
Carriers: Play a crucial role in power projection, serving as mobile command hubs and force multipliers. These vessels house squadrons of starfighters and support craft, allowing for strategic strikes, fleet defense, and logistical support during extended missions. Carriers are pivotal in maintaining fleet readiness and dominance

The Flechette-Class Escort/Patrol Frigate is a cornerstone of the Federal Navy’s small warship doctrine, designed for high-speed engagements, fleet escort, and long-range patrols. At 1,200 dT, it combines advanced defensive systems with formidable firepower, making it a versatile and resilient asset. Built to TL-15 specifications, the Flechette-class features Thrust-6 and Jump-4, allowing it to operate independently or alongside the fleet. Its bonded superdense armor and reflec coating provide excellent protection, while an advanced electronic warfare suite enhances battlefield awareness, disrupts enemy targeting, and coordinates precise strikes. Armed with twelve double turrets, mounting a mix of missile racks and high-energy lasers, the Flechette excels in ship-to-ship combat and area defense, with an integrated point-defense network for anti-fighter and anti-missile protection. It carries a Military Gig, 50 dT of cargo, and a 22-Marine detachment for boarding and security operations. Additional features include a medical bay, armory, workshop, and briefing room, supporting extended deployments. A mainstay of the Federal Navy, the Flechette-class is deployed for patrol, escort, and rapid-response missions, securing trade routes, countering piracy, and reinforcing system defenses. Fast, heavily armed, and technologically advanced, it embodies the next generation of high-performance warship.

The Ecuyer-Class Destroyer is a high-speed, multi-role warship built to safeguard Federation fleets and enforce territorial security. At 3,600 dT, it expands upon the Flechette-Class, increasing its firepower, defenses, and operational range while maintaining Thrust-6 and Jump-4, ensuring it can keep pace with fleet movements or conduct independent patrols. Armed for both fleet engagements and patrol duties, the Ecuyer-Class features two small missile bays, six small beam laser bays, and 16 quad turrets mounting laser and missile racks. Its 12 dedicated point-defense batteries provide a robust anti-missile and anti-fighter screen, allowing it to shield larger capital ships from incoming threats. Designed for extended deployments, the Ecuyer-Class carries a crew of 104, including 22 Marines for boarding actions, security operations, and ground intervention. It also houses two Military Gigs for transport, reconnaissance, and rapid response missions. Its advanced sensor and electronic warfare suites enhance threat detection and battlefield control, allowing it to act as both a frontline combatant and an escort for critical assets. As a destroyer, it is a fast, aggressive warship tasked with screening larger vessels, leading hunter-killer groups, and conducting deep-space patrols. Whether escorting convoys, intercepting enemy raiders, or supporting planetary assaults, the Ecuyer-Class is a backbone of the Federation Navy, ensuring dominance in both fleet actions and independent operations.
