Jewel
A red-furred, white-spotted Catfolk with glowing golden eyes. She lives in Ornisk and is said to be thoroughly trained in magic of an unusual style. Jewel has a crystalline flower, named Crystal, as a familiar. It is an Aeon Wyrd and is often worn in Jewel's hair.
A former slave of the Technic League, Jewel was freed after Lady Almaona tried and failed to use her as bait for The Adventurers. She refuses to disclose who her previous master was.
Jewel works in the orphanage in Ornisk and her efforts to keep the children from being mistreated have made it a somewhat legendary institution.
Jewel has a dim view on cultists after the cult under the Ornisk orphanage and the Cult of the Bloom. During a confrontation with the Kingdom of the Cleansed, she killed a surrendering cultist, saying that he had "made his choice".
Jewel has had less-than-ideal adventures with the kingdom leadership. On her first adventure, she overheard Alain Orlovsky force-feeding a potion to another wererat against its wishes, causing it to die a painful death. She was also bitten and infected by a wererat, though after she informed the leaders, they promptly took her back to Drakeel for immediate medical care. During her next outing, she was ganged up on and seriously injured during a late-night ambush. On her next adventure, Cherry was apparently left to die on Candlemere Island.
Despite all that, Jewel has stuck with the kingdom leadership and as of Gozran 4712 is dating queen Kiin.
