Weapons Elaborated

Weapons follows mostly the same rule set as 5e, and the same pricing scale. However the major differences are: Mods will be taking the place of magical enchantments and that there are Dex and Str Weapons of all types. See the Armor Weapon and Item Mods page for more details and examples of Mods. Whatever you might expect in magical weapons can be found in a mod which can be moved over to other gear within specific slots. There are rare unique weapons and armor which may or may not have mods with locked slots. There can also be more advanced versions of the typical weapons. weapons are typically separated into strength, dex and then within that for following the same rules we shall go through them here. ALL OF THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND REBALANCING  

Properties

Light - may be used in off hand Reach - hit 5 feet ahead Energy - requires loading and energy prof Loading - requires traditional loading Thrown - may be treated as ranged Versatile - May used two handed to increase damage die Two Handed - requires two hands Less Lethal - Assumes attacks are non-lethal unless stated otherwise Martial - Martial class has unique mod slot usually Simple - simple class Str-Rec - some weapons require str scores to use cause of heft

Melee

Melee weapons returned to popularity with the advent of space travel. A bullet in the wall can kill everyone, so when boarding a ship, blades beat guns. Melee also comes with a few other advantages. Only Melee weapons trigger attacks of opportunity, and melee weapons can ignore most form of cover. Melee weapons also can be single handed while doing more damage than one handed projectiles. In Melee dex weapons can be forced to use strength however with a -1 penalty

Strength

baton/Hammer - Typical Example: Riot baton: A good old stick, especially if running some electric charge, is a hell of a thing. Damage: 1d4 + str Bludge | light, less lethal, simple| Mod Options: Damage 1, specialty 1 | price: 0.1C3

Combat Club- Typical Example - Spiked steel Bat: The classics never really go out of style. Damage: 1d8 + str Bludge |two handed, simple | Mod Options: Damage 1, specialty 2 | price: 0.5C3

Handaxe - Typical Example: MDF-4 Utility Axe: MDF mastered the simple art of an axe for most issues. Whether its boxes, crates, a tree, a skull. It's a tool for any situation. Damage: 1d6 + str Slash | light, simple, thrown (20/40)| Mod Options: damage 1, specialty 1 | price: 5C3

Javalin - Typical Example: JAV-5 Javalin: Javalin's are rare weapons, made mostly popular in boarding actions or for reusability against Xenophage. Combat Mace/hammer - Typical Example: All Purpose Tool: A wrench and a hammer in one, the favored tool of the spaceborn Damage: 1d6 + str Bludgeoning | simple | Mod option: Damage 1, Specialty 1 | price: 5C3

Combat Staff - Typical Example: Self Defense Staff: Popular among those in need of a cane or a walking stick. A solid steel staff can hold a charge, a sharpened point, and can be modified in many ways. Its often non lethal... or well, less than lethal. Utility Spear - Typical Example: Thalmus Drill Spike: Originally a mining tool invented by the Thalmus Mining Comoany, the Drill Spike became popular among civilians caught up in the waves. Ripper Knife- Typical Example: UES Ripper Knife: The original Ripper Knife, its vibrating saw teeth make it easier to smash through steel and subdermal plates with maximum Viscera. Combat Axe- Typical Example: MDF-12 Field Axe: The preferred tool for ship raids, while combat axes of all kinds are common, the Martian standard has vibrating saw teeth. Enough to carve a human like a turkey without carving the innards of a ship. Damage: 1d8 + str Slash | Versatile, Martial| Mod Options: damage 1, unique 1, specialty 1 | price: 10C3

Combat Bludgeon- Typical Example: CR-Riot Flail: The Canton Republic wanted something that could beat someone near to death without getting there. So, electrically charged flails fit the bill. Halberd- Typical Example: Landsknecht-2: Halberds came into popularity with the Xenophage, the Europan designed Landsknecht allowed for drill spike front bit with a razor disc blade. Raider Great Axe - Typical Example: MDF-A4: Despite the famously uninteresting naming convention, these great axes the size of a person is known for cleaving through halls of people. A favored weapon among the Raider, with multiple nanotube strengthened blades capable of multiple mods. Greatswords - Typical Example: VibroViscera: A popular model of two handed sword from Titan. With a vibrating sawed two front, it can separate a MDF defense drone from shoulder to steel hip. Lance- Typical Example: Cavilier-J9: Building on the ideas seen in the landsknecht run is the Cavalier, a lance with a hydraulic punching tip, that can add the force of 2 ton car striking a man at 80 miles an hour, all channeled into a titanium tip. Straight Blade - Typical Example: Mahjada Blade: A popular blade of straight blade that is functionally just an arming sword shaped chain saw. Gauntlet Spike - Typical Example Tri-Short Band: Favorite amongst the Tritonmen, A hydraulic spike attacked to ones wrist can turn a punch into being on the wrong side of a jack hammer. Dagger- Typical Example: Combat Knife: Knives in the dark will never cease to be a useful weapon Damage: 1d4 + dex Slash | light, simple| Mod Options: damage 1, specialty 1 | price: 2C3

Combat Spear - Typical Example: AscendTM Disc-staff: A weapon developed by Ascend LLC, inspired from the Thalmus Drill Spike, a spear with a razor disc at the end, spins so quickly it burrows through subdermal armor with just a pound pressure. Glaive- Typical Example: Yoshihara-B: The foundation use of the Naginata was always meant to be a mark of legacy, somehow tradition and advancement. It's sharpened blade down to a lasor thin razor of nanowire, as if precision made death dignified. Piercing Blade - Typical Example: Scorpion-IBlade: An extremely popular internal balde built into the for arm that allows one to rapidly spike out into an unsuspecting victim. Curved Blades - Typical Example: ADM-Hojo: A katana baring the sawed teeth typical of modern world. Popular as the blades may be placed inside ones arms, or enriched with acid or napalm. Damage: 1d8 + dex slashing | Versatile Martial | Mod Options: damage 1, unique 1, specialty 1 | Price: 15C3

Short Blades - Typical Example: UES-C34 Short Field Blade: The most traditional blade commonly found, meant for foliage and utility, now meant to break xenophage forms. the Blade is traditional, but it's sharpened to a nanometer thinness Damage: 1d6 + dex slashing |light, Martial | Mod Options: damage 1, unique 1, specialty 1 | Price: 15C3

Power Whip - Typical Example: White Fox Special: A serrated chain whip that became popular among the White Fox gang after their failed results as it can be hidden as a belt. Projectile

Projectile Weapons are those that fire bullets, whether flaming, electrical, rubber, or magnetically shot metals. This is the most common form of weapon in Stellar concerns. However, despite their popularity it comes with weaknesses, some do poorly in close range, they can not be used for attacks of opportunity, all require ammo and most are highly susceptible to cover and none can be safely relied on in space to handle every situation. After all, a hole through the innards of a ship can kill the whole crew.

Dex

Old Model Rifles - Typical Example: Make Shift Winchester- 270: Bolt actions like this are basically antiques, however what they are is easy to fix, reproduce, hard to track. corporate guns wont even work without your genetic code in its computer, a Remington however, it never discriminates, it only penetrates. Old Model SMG - Typical Example: FN P-130: Base model SMGs are easy to use, functional at closer range, and well, if you don't know how to aim, well you'll hit everyone. Self-Defense Handgun- Typical Example: Selsic-220: A popular model of side arm, 10mm rounds with piercing tips allow for a smaller package to deliver just enough punch to go through a Xenophage carapace. Modern Rifles - Typical Example: SI-7 Battle Rifle: battle rifle that became both the modern UES and CC standard. Utilizing a magnetic assisted shots that allow for high penetration. Modern Sniper - Typical Example: I-Fox: Io made Fox is a magnetic sniper rifle allow for a powerful long range rifle. Hand Revolver - Typical Example: Minotaur-PV: Prime Variant, named so primarily because the bullets are technically anti-armor shells. The kickback is enough to knock over a normal human. Modern Shotgun - Typical Example: Al-Battani-B: A mass produced tactical shotgun out of Egypt, that delivers sharpened slug rounds as well as traditional birdshot. LMG- Typical Example: MDF-Ward-7: An LMG developed to create hard points against the xenophage on the deserts of mars. Energy

Energy weapons are rare weapons that require loading, but do Force damage and more damage than typical weapons. Only the Cyber-technician, Space Marine - Fighter, and Colonial Ranger, they also have less mods in general. They also have less range. These are experimental so stats may vary as the dm decides what bullshit
