Erui Character in Stella | World Anvil

Erui

Erui, the Life-Giver

Erui, the Life-Giver, also known as 'Springflower' and 'Mother Nature' was the goddess of life, nature and most things fey. Her dogma surrounds itself with teachings of life and mercy, as well as living in harmony with nature and all its assets.   In stark contrast to the other old gods there has been plenty of mention from Erui's personal involvement in the world. Often, the presence of her followers can be seen in area's where the world is just that little bit wilder, or in need of nature's embrace. While her sister Nangalad mostly stays vigilant from above, Erui tries to personally guide her apostles through signs of nature or with help from her fey and celestial servants.

Divine Appearance

Common depictions seen in statues and woodcarvings of Erui draw comparisons with the image of a wise and beautiful dryad. Fair skin of smooth bark is sparsely covered with leaves and vines to paint an alluring feminine image.   Long hair of vines and leaves, with flowers blooming from between them set a nice frame around her well-shapen elvish-looking face. Two warm yellow eyes give her a trustworthy, yet charming visage.

The Eternal Edens

Just like the mother Naneth, who birthed Erui into existence, Erui is obsessed with creating new and spontaneous things. What sets her apart from the matron of chaos however, is that Erui also provides meticulous care for her creations.   Examples of these are the planes of Tel'Miir and Mothúcháin, both shaped by Erui from the strands of her dreams and powerful essence of Tel'Nief. Within these planes, her celestial and fey servants live in complete freedom, but with all the care they can wish for. While the more accesable plane of Mothúcháin may seem more volatile and chaotic then it's sister plane Tel'Miir, even there in the darkness of the unseelie courts Erui's guiding hand extends to tug the strings of harmony.
