Personal History

Childhood and Family Life

Leah grew up in one of the biggest remaining cities in the world and was constantly surrounded by other people. She was the youngest of a large family and often felt like she was forgotten or left behind as her elder siblings grew up and began to make their own lives. From a young age, she became passionate about science and maths (something she was also very good at) and began to excel at school.

Education and Career

Leah moved quickly through education, never finding any subject too difficult, and came to the end of her mandatory education at 16. From here she decided she wanted a career in medicine because although she still loved the sciences, she wanted to help people in a more real way. At 18 she completed the first steps of her medical training and began searching for work. However, with the decrease in population and the increase in people with medical training, a job was hard to come by. She searched for jobs for almost a year with no luck, and so when the call for crew members for The Last Voyage came out, she leaped at the chance for work.

Motives and Reasoning

Leah Morrison, the newly appointted medic, seems are really good fit for the crew. However, the question we are all asking is: why would someone choose to sacrifice themselves for a fleeting hope? And at such a young age, there must be an important reason...

Leah is the youngest of a large family and always felt overshadowed by her siblings achievements. Even after she gained her medical qualifications and achieved her dream of helping others, her parents compared her to her siblings. She became so frustrated with them, that when the chance to volunteer aboard The Last Voyage arose, she jumped at the chance. It was an oppurtunity to continue to pursue her dream of helping people on a large scale, and also, subconciously, an attempt to make her parents proud one final time.

Crew Relationships

From her own perspective, Leah thinks kindly of all the other crew members and tries to act friendly towards them. Although some crew members have suggested to her that others may be hiding dark secrets she refuses to believe that and instead trusts every member of the crew completely until proven otherwise. This sometimes puts strains on her relationships but she thinks that ultimately it will help them all in the long run.

Secretive or Shy?

There is much debate among the other crew members about whether Leah's behaviour is an attempt to hide something from them, or just caused by nerves, But whichever it is, doesn't help the general sense of unease between the members of the crew. When you rely on the people around you for everything, it would be good if you could also trust them with total certainty...
