Summary

The mythical Heart of Abraxas is an Objects of Power said to have belonged to the legendary First Sehashi. It is unknown whether or not it still exists if it ever did in the first place.

Historical Basis

There is little doubt that the ancient sehashi known as Abraxas was a real person with unmatched power. There are depictions of her on several planets, too many to dismiss the possibility of her existence. Several of these depictions show her holding an object of some kind. The problem is that no two depictions of this object are alike and most are so badly worn that it's impossible to get any clear idea of what they were supposed to look like in the first place.
Many of these worlds are reluctant to make any attempt to restore these artistic pieces for fear of damaging them further.

This object is most widely known about in the central regions of the galaxy. The farther out you go from the galactic center the less likely you are to encounter civilizations who've heard of it.

Variations & Mutation

The term 'Heart of Abraxas' was coined by a qondreon scholar from the planet Tirizar. Prior to this there had been no set term for this object. This scholar reasoned that sehashi objects of power can be physical manifestations of their power. Since there was no sign of this object being one of the other types, the kind that can be handed down to other sehashi, it made sense that this was one that could only be used by Abraxas herself.
Her paper on the subject met with great debate in the scholarly community but was soon widely accepted.

Cultural Reception

Objects of power are very important to the sehashi community and to those worlds that openly accept and acknowledge them. Stories such as this are widely told.
