Shade

A member of the Sentinels, Shade is one of the more public faces of the team, despite being secretive about his real identity and rarely being seen without his face-shrouding cowl and voice distorter. He has only been seen in public out of costume twice: 2027, in a fight with Black Harbinger, and 2024, fighting Flaming Fury in Florida. Both events were caught on video.
Some people know of his Native American heritage, and he doesn't go out of his way to hide it. His mother is part Navajo, and he has a little Shoshone blood on father's side.

Shade is particularly focused on maintaining his public image and fame, and employs several agents to manage his social media and public persona. It isn't known what he uses his income for, and some suspect he's preparing for retirement.

Shade is considered a Class A superhuman.

Special abilities

Shade is a mage, with a particular mastery of shadow manipulation. While he's especially powerful at night, he's also quite dangerous in the day, as the starker shadows seem to be even stronger than those at night. He is capable of conjuring creatures or creating missiles and shields from shadow, but is also capable of using other effects, such as lightning, fire, or even simple telekinesis, but he doesn't seem to be as practiced with those forms of magic.

Apparel & Accessories

Shade wears black robes with a hood that shrouds his head, along with a mask that covers the lower half of his face and which modulates his voice to be deep and booming. The robes have blue, silver, and gold runes stitched into it, supposedly defensive spells, but he also wears body armor beneath the robes.
