Sharpers

A Sharper is the title for the leader of a Gear Grinders troupe. As their leader, they oversee the various aspects and activities of a troupe.

Responsibilities

Sharpers are responsible for the general administration of their Gear Grinder troupe. They oversee the smooth operation of their particular troupe, including business dealings, negotiations, assassination orders and other such activities.
In the case of disagreements between Gear Grinders of a troupe, or two or more teams from a troupe, the Sharper is the decision maker. He or she makes the final judgement and for that troupe, their word is law.

There is no 'length of term'. Once a Gear Grinder is elevated to a Sharper, it is for life.
