phrikite Material in Star Wars: Shards | World Anvil

phrikite

First campaign appearance: Shards of Honor 30.0 "Thief of Dreams"

VNY's notes:

Hey look, it's Unobtanium!
I get glares every time I say that. I'm going to be amused by it for the rest of this lesson, which I am undergoing specifically because of Bethal IV.
Phrikite is an almost-nonexistant metal ore that has been the life quest of many a ruined prospector. I understand it to be usually mixed with other materials, a pain in the joints to separate out, and likely to get nationalized as soon as your aggressive government finds out you did the hard bits.
If you combine phrikite with another ore called tydirium, you have an alloy named "phrik".

And you best like whatever shape it's in once that combination is made, because (unlike beskar or ultrachrome) phrik does not alter its shape ever again. No matter what you do to it.

Phrikite reacts oddly to the Force. I think there might be more use for poor-grade phrikite as a scattered gravel than there is as a refined metal alloy -- granted, that use is "give any and all beings who are in the least bit in tune with the Force a sector-sized headache".
