Kelu Gil Character in Star Wars: Shards | World Anvil

Kelu Gil (Key-lu Gil)

He’s a sharp dressed man, but don’t take him lightly...
Jangir Toth, bounty hunter

Kelu Gil is one of the more ‘public’ aspects of the Tapani crime lord, Rogga the Hutt. As Rogga’s key negotiator, Kelu deals with all manner of high-profile business deals for Rogga. In Rogga’s palace, Kelu also works as Rogga’s chief accountant who works closely with the hutt’s majordomo, Conor Pornal.

A Sharp Dressed Devaronian

Given his job in Rogga’s organization, Kelu takes care with his appearance. Many consider it pride, but in reality it’s a carefully crafted demeanor. Kelu considers it his ‘armor’ in social or business dealings. It’s rare that the Devaronian appears in any sort of public venue in less that his best. Kelu is fond of tailored suits and clothing suitable to the occasion.

This latter is extremely important in his lesser known role as one of Rogga’s key assassins. Kelu takes his job as Rogga’s top assassin as seriously as he does his other work. Only in this capacity, he trades in tailored suits for armored shadowsuits. His weapons of choice? They change from datapads to vibroknives or silenced blasters.

Quirks

A neat freak that likes knives... which is a nasty combination...
Jangir Toth, bounty hunter

Kelu’s public appearance is also his best disguise, concealing the true person underneath. This is a near perfect disguise of calm save for one quirk that slips out from behind the mask: his cleanliness.

Being neat and tidy is core to his behavior and personality. In the normal course of his day, Kelu withstands an ‘untidy’ galaxy, even when ‘untidy’ happens to him. But, on the occasions when his willpower slips, he can be erratic or even violent.
