Starworld 1: The Jedi Catacomb Report
General Summary
The party was hired by Mr. E to retrieve and artifact from a ruin. The players were successful in infiltrating the Jedi Catacomb. However, as they reached the vault they encountered Captain Cicero a contingent of pirates, slaves, as well as a gargantuan mining droid. After a hard fought battle they were subdued and spared only when Oren Skye agreed to use her medical skills to save some of the wounded pirates.
After the pirates succeeded in using the droid to open the vault fate intervened. The slaves clearing the entrance were transformed into Rakghoul and attacked the pirates, the other slaves and the party themselves. After the battle Cicero and the remaining pirates directed the party to enter the vault and retrieve the artifacts inside. Due to some quick thinking from Jicelli Asichi, who used her force powers to throw the Muur Talisman at Cicero, who caught the artifact and was immediately overwhelmed by the Dark Side energies within.
Joanna Mangar tried to grab the artifact, causing a loud voice to scream with delight, she was lifted into the air as the Dark Side vortex swirled around her, turning all of the remaining men into Rakghouls. She ordered them to attack the party, and then shuffled off with Cicero in tow, escaping the vault with the artifact, collapsing the tunnel behind them.
The party was able to defeat the Rakghouls, as well as the mining droid and eventually make their way to the surface. There they were confronted by the Bounty Hunter Dee'mun Devreez and a few allies, who had tracked the group to recover the ship provided by Mr. E. Which he claimed belonged to him. After a brutal gunfight they managed to kill his allies and R6-D6 overloaded his jetpack, sending him into the stratosphere.
The group returned to the adventurer's guild with a few pieces of loot, but without the item they had been hired to grab. Of course there was the matter of Kyle Aran's Holocron.
