Skar B
Skar B a coastal city on the opposite side of the planet from the capital, but is one of the areas that has made a decent recovery. Its primary industry is officially fishing, but unofficially illicit black market goods. Skar B's spaceport is the second largest on the planet and is frequented by pirates and black marketers, who are tolerated by the local garrison so long as they do not cause trouble and make their bribery payments on time.
It is officially under the control of the Imperial governor, but claimed as territory by the Hutt Cartels, specifically Jabba.
Government
Officially under the jurisdiction of the Galactic Empire. However, there are a great many shady and corrupt deals in place with the Hutt Cartles making it more of a free city and black market locale than a true imperial city. The Hutts have not disputed the claim of the Empire and instead use their nominal ownership as a means to fend off the larger Pirate Cartels that might otherwise seek to interfere with the trade leaving its spaceport.
In addition, Skar B's status as an imperial port makes it easier to smuggle contraband into the core worlds.
Industry & Trade
Large fishing industry in the mostly untapped oceans on this side of Taris. Also acts as a major spaceport through the sector.
