The Skull
Alignment Tendency: Any
Domains: Grave 2014
Symbol: A skull, no jaw
Power of Death The Skull is an abstract concept, rather than an individual ascendant or god, and represents the concept of death and/or absence of spirit. Often conflated with followers of Vecna and/or Acererak, The Skull's worshippers come from all races and creeds, but rarely form organised groups. They are often, but are not neccessarily, necromancers, gravediggers, or morticians, but many others are known to pay homage to The Skull when entering dangerous situations. Due to the thematic proximity to followers of various liches, worshippers of the Skull are often assumed to be evil and/or working for nefarious ends, but this could not be further from the truth. Often they see death as a natural part of life, and view corporeal remains as no less a resource than those who consume meat or wear leather, or those who farm plants and mushrooms for sustenance. They are pragmatic, enigmatic, and while eccentric, often very loyal companions.
