At the end of the long rest roll a number of d6 equal to the Arcanist's proficiency bonus, this is the number of items the Arcanist identifies, in an order of your choosing.
While this NPC is an active, unwounded member of your crew or organisation, once during a vessel or bastion combat you may have this NPC cast a single spell of level 3 or lower from the Wizard Spell List with a casting time no greater than one action, during your vessel or bastions turn.
