Leray Elite

There are 7 levels of Elite level training for Leray wielders, equating to 12 total academic grades and ranks that must be achieved before being considered a top ranking elite. There is not much difference in the internal ranking system of elite training statuses, except for the top level of elites. Elites who have graduated with the best level of training are often called upon by mage coordinators (similar to magic commissioners) or city commissioners to take part in special battle events, or set up for a promotion to become a Leray gradyent. Leray Elites also have an expectation to help out from time to time in communities, often directly with Leray agents. An elite however is still just a Leray wielder, one with highly advanced and developed magical combat skills. If set for certain positions, this can dramatically increase their potential earnings.

Qualifications

Graduate from any Leray training facility with at least level 6 magical training, (the first level of elite training) and obtain a Leray License card.

Requirements

Graduate from any Leray training facility with at least level 6 magical training, (the first level of elite training) and obtain a Leray License card. Also be registered as a lawful citizen of Sprawn Valley.

Duties

To take part in Leray battles against other Leray wielders. Conducting battles in quota is not required, but there are penalties for a wielder who refuses a legal challenge to a Leray battle against another registered Leray wielder. Elite wielders are expected though not required to take on tougher opponents with ranks closer to their own, but also to fight against tough opponents with lower experience as a means of personal training. Duties can vary on appointments to higher positions.

Responsibilities

Maintain the honor and sport of Leray battles, becoming stronger everyday to achieve some sort of personal goal.

Benefits

Leray wielders have the benefit battling against other Leray wielder for money, as well as using Leray magic spells in general (any that are destructive in nature). Additionally, an Elite Leray wielder is the preferred rank required to take part in the championship battles, or the catalyst grove at Eldora Tower, and is eligible to immediately become a tower elite or even the champion from their current rank. Elites are also eligible to be recommended for a status as a Leray gradyent.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Wielders who are penalized by excessive refusal to battle by obtaining too many digital strikes will be suspended from taking part in battles, with the duration of each suspension exceeded each time. If suspended four or five times, a Leray wielder may have his or her license revoked. Wielders who break the law may also have their status revoked, following imprisonment if the crime is big enough. There is however no time limit on how often a wielder should battle.

Cultural Significance

Leray wielders set the commonly observed example for the brightest parts of Sprawn Valley, the reason why others want to become interested in Leray magic. Leray elites are highly revered and seen as the most honorable of Leray wielders when spotted out in the field. Elites often become famous for their many battles and deeds.
