Dark Pulsar

Dark Pulsar is a summon ability not learnable by humans, specific to the Phantom Drake as summoned by the Phantom Storm spell. Dark Pulsar is the most powerful dark magic spell recorded in history, something that can only be fired from the phantom dragon after it has charged and used up a tremendous amount of its own power and rage. Dark Pulsar has a similarity in its delivery as Doom Bolt, but its power level and explosive capabilities are unlike anything any mages have ever seen. The blast radius, explosive power, and power level of a single but large sphere of collected dark energy can rip apart atoms and destroy anything in its affected radius, even heavy metals an armored objects that have been protected with the maximum layers of item synthesis through the Leray veil. The ME usage for this one ability crosses a boundary that humans would seldom achieve on their own, while the ability itself is said to not only instantly deplete the HP of all who are targeted, but to instantly kill them as well from the intensity of the real time damage that would be inflicted in the process. However, because of the vast energy requirements, the phantom dragon can only launch this spell once or twice in a single summoning sequence, assuming it has not used up its energy for other abilities already. Additionally, because the collection of energy takes the form of a very large and bright glowing sphere, the magical explosive projectile is set to auto-detonate upon any immediately detected resistance above a threshold. This means that a less powerful spell that still has enough force can shoot this projectile and cause it to explode early before reaching the target.

Manifestation

The collection of energy forms at the center of the dragon's open mouth, similarly to Doom Bolt, but this time without a glyphring to source the energy. This massive sphere grows over the period of the invocation charge up time, and glows brightly without any coloration. The energy is so powerful right before it is released from its kinetic hold, that light itself becomes spatially warped around this glowing sphere for those who gaze upon it, while mirages appear at random due to the distortion of energy. The dragon then unleashes this power, launching the sphere forward like a cannon without any homing properties attached. Many know that this sphere needs no homing properties, since the average magical explosion radius for this spell is about 200 meters, the shockwave effective for 2,000 meters, and the power level capable of shattering Leray protected steel, it is expected that most wielders who are hit by this single ability regardless of endurance levels are killed instantly in the process, either by partial vaporization from the heat generated by the non-elemental explosion, or by bones being broken from the shockwave strength alone.
