The New Gods
In the beginning, gods were petulant and cruel. Old, powerful creatures of pure elemental might ruled over the spire with an iron fist. Adorned with crowns of barbs, they kept their creations and their worlds under lock and key, regulating everything from birth to death. During this time, this Era of Chains, the people of the spire (known to us as Titans) looked up to the gods in fear.
They tried to live under the collar of slavery but after time enough was enough. After nearly 3000 years, a group of rebellious siblings from a clan personally uplifted by the Old Gods for study broke into the Primordial Hexantheon and stole away with various powerful artifacts. Using these artifacts and the combined forces of their clan and other clans convinced to fight they began what would be known as the Eternal War.
During the Eternal War these demi-gods, powered by reality-bending artifacts, each found ways to break off shards of divinity for themselves, becoming true gods in the process. Using this newfound power and their legion of deified angelic titans they beat back the tide and claimed their thrones as the New Gods of the free world.
Although this pantheon has expanded slightly since its start, with the gods having their own deific children and a certain mortal gaining divinity, the pantheon remains closeknit. Any beings considered as "minor gods" and "demi-gods" take the form of the various forms of planar scion, ranging from the powerful god-adjacent Solar down to the diminutive cherubim.
The New Gods have had plenty a squabble in their time, and they are far from perfect beings. But they are something to aspire to and embody lofty ideals that any mortal can dream to accomplish.
Structure
The New Gods have a solid power structure controlling the planes and the actions of the gods. The gods each have power depending on the number of planes they have and the number of worshippers that they preside over.
- At the top of the list is En'tr. She commands either the respect or the fear of every other god. She keeps an iron fist over the other gods and makes sure that she stays on top. Azmodius used to share this spot with En'tr before he was killed.
- Next in line is Thaemalon, Zeron, and Cex. These gods have been around as long as En'tr, but have slightly fewer worshippers. These gods mainly keep to themselves, keeping certain planes in check and watching over the more minor gods.
- After the Trio is Sigrid, Teixla, and Eratr. These three rule over at most one plane and have a modest amount of worshippers. Although these three keep to themselves mostly, Teixla is currently vying for power and is attempting to climb her way to the top of the power structure, with her cult currently fighting En'trs in the material plane.
- At the bottom of the rung is Corviana, The Raven Queen. She rules one plane, and her worshippers are mostly centered on that plane. She is unhappy with her place in the structure and is currently fighting for Azmodiuses' old spot in the power structure.
Public Agenda
The Pantheon has no specific set agenda, as they function more as a ruling body than anything else. Above all other things, each god wants to keep their position in the planar hierarchy secure, whilst vying for more power than they currently possess.
Assets
Theoretically, the New Gods own everything within the many planes. Militarily, the New Gods possess a massive military of Angels and Demons. This consists of 9 Armies (One for each God), 12 Legions for each army, and 24 Platoons.
Territories
The New Gods own every single plane in the Planar Hierarchy. Every Single Land is held with the power of their Angelic/Demonic armies and is assumed to be under their control
Mythology & Lore
The New Gods have entire eras worth of mythology, more than can be summed in the space of one section of an article. Ancient Heroes blessed by the gods, tales of mortals whose hubris got the best of them, and the very creation myth of the material plane itself all permeate this religion. At the center of this is the Gods themselves, who are driving personalities and characters who have extensively documented histories and lives.
The New Gods myths are mostly focused on the actual gods themselves, as the gods each represent a piece of human nature. Although the gods represent these facets of individual nature, they are not direct manifestations of these ideals as the Old Gods were. They form hundreds of tales of love, death, war, suffering, and peace. Some of these tales are listed as follows:
- The Eternal War: The war in which the New Gods usurped the old, and began their apotheosis into the figures of legend they are known as today.
Divine Origins
The beginnings of this religion were formed right when the New Gods were formed. The first hints of organized cults were first formed when the Teutano Mythology moved south, and the Old God cult style mixed with the beliefs in the New God's teachings.
Cosmological Views
