The Myriad
Overview
The Myriad is the dominant crime organization on Bastion, and they have their fingers in pots all across Hyperion. Much like Black Sky Contracting, the Myriad aims to be the only criminal group working actively. If you're pulling a job that falls within their purvue without going through them, you'd better hope they never get your name, because they will hear about it, and if they find you, you will likely disappear, or become one of them. Due to their signed deal with the S.A.C
When someone comes to the Myriad looking to join, whether because they need somewhere safe to be, or for the thrill, or whatever the reason, the process can take some time. The applicant is required to win a par kor race against a member. The Myriad also rigs up a house, full of traps and guards. At it's core is a little rock that the applicant must retrieve and escape.

The Myriad is broken up into individual groups known as Dens. Some of these Dens are family, others are groups of misfits who came together. Each Den is responsible for a certain area of land. A representative is elected from each Den to represent their interest on the Clasp, the council that runs the organization. p]
Den Thanar
operates across the southern regions of Issylra, including Vespa. They are one of the largest, and wealthiest Dens. The current Den leader, and head of the Myriad as a whole is Zain Draegar.Den Torbin
operates across the northern half of Issylra. Despite having all the oppotunities of operating on Bastion, they are not the second wealthiest Den.Den Varagon
is the second most wealthy Den. They operate out of the Silent Sea, but all of Yridos falls under their purvue. They have very close connections to the Grand Caliphate to help them maintin control.Den Astartes
operates the Astral Sea. Their charge falls into the transportaion of goods from place to place, some piracy when it is a guaranteed win, and to scope out possible resources and other things of worth yet unclaimed, or claimed. Space stations, moons, and other small bodies fall under their purvue as well.Den Drakar
operates on Calidor. They are one of the poorest of the dens, as the world doesn't provide a lot of opportunity for plunder, other than dangerous dead sea dives after pearls.History
No one knows the exact origin of the Myriad. There are hundreds of stories told across the worlds that all vary greatly. What is know, is that the Myriad did exist during the Saikar Empire, but they were just another unnamed crim family. And as they grew, they slowly began bringing other groups around their idea of how things sjhould be done/ When the Fall happened, the Myriad seized the oppportunity, and banded all of their friendly Dens together.
For 500 years, the Myriad help the system together. They were responsible for a wide range of beneficial investing endeavours, they provided help in redistributing the wealth and food that existed, and started trying to bring some sense of cooperation and order to a system plunged into darkness once more.
When the Saikar Coalition formed, they quickly realized that they could not do it all. So just as contracts and work was offloaded on new and burgeoninhg corporations. The Myriad Council sent a proposal to the S.A.C at this point. The S.A.C will leave turn a blind eye to the Myriad, and in return the Myriad would help centralize, regulate, and police the underworld. Those who break the rules, or operate without The Myriad's approval, or begin causing too many problems for the S.A.C, they are retired.
