Tigris

Tigris is one of the many planets that has been rediscovered in the past 50 years. Long before the silence, Tigris was a colonial conquest of the Colonial Earth Empire. Lacking rich minerals, expensive goods or anything else worth exporting off planet, it turned towards a self-reliant industrialized agricultural system. Though the population was not particularly wealthy, they lived better lives than most on heavily industrialized colonial entities like Thassa VII.
They tolerated the Imperial authorities, but the people resisted any heavy handed influence by the empire until the silence cut them off completely. When the gates fell, Tigris was cut off. The only population reliant on the gates was the colonial government, made up of primarily solar colonists. History told by the locals of Tigris tells a tale of how they first tried to expand, but were rebuffed by armed militias of the rural communities. When they were forced to retreat into their imperial fortresses, they resulted to infighting. Centuries passed and the planet lived on, forming a federation of these communities, but mostly as a means of disaster relief and cultural exchange. The day-to-day was almost entirely insular, and most communities simply governed themselves as prosperous agri-communes. 
Tigris was rediscovered by a Harrison Armory research team, and soon camed under their colonial administration. The corporate executives stated that they had made a contract with the imperial colonial authorities before the silence, and they were happy to take the planetary communities to court over it. The courts of course being the courts of the Corporate Assembly, which were outright bought by the likes of HA. 
Communities are being driven into poverty by the taxes and tithes imposed by Harrison authorities, and some have begun to fight back. It's rumored that many of their arms include antiques and wonders alike from before the silence. These were weapons hidden away incase the Empire ever came back. A significant chakra and stim  market has also developed on the planet, interesting the likes of the Hydra Syndicate and the families.
