Bez-Soli

Geography

Bez-Soli is a large freshwater lake in the heart of Cattle-Bone. The water is a vibrant aqua, clear as glass. The waters are shallow yet comfortable and warmth is brought from the depths of the earth, bringing bubbling heat to the north side and letting it return to it's normal state by the time it hits the southern shore. The waters run down from the hills surrounding the valley in Cattle-Bone, the water often over-flows as the jungle is especially damp into the backwater swamp of East City, Baldev's Wash.

Localized Phenomena

A porous rocky step sits among the shallow waters of Bez-Soli, this rock allows hot water and air to travel from the South Bay Aquifer to enter the waters, bringing a magical warmth to the Bez-Soli ecosystem.

Fauna & Flora

There are plenty of different animals and plants, especially close to the backwater swamps. Reeds and seagrasses stand strong among the silty soil, and fish, crayfish, and other various freshwater critters can be found within the space. While most of them stick to their secluded eastern point, it is not unusual to see carp out in the open water where the humans of Cattle-Bone. They have undergone a level of habituation, getting fed and interacting with. These animals, all involved, are a large part of the average Catharians diet, as, contrary to popular belief, Catharians are neither vegan or vegetarian, for instead of seeing the individual animal as sacred, it is the ecosystem.

Tourism

The first 'tourism' to Bez-Soli was likely taken by High Priest Cathar & Elonyn Inarsis upon their first venture the parts that we now call Cattle-Bone. A note is taken upon his personal journal that:

'The waters are divine, seemingly warm from an underground source, but no matter the science, it relaxes my torn legs and weary feet.'

But over the years of settlement, more and more people began coming not only for the

cleaning, but instead for the fun and cooling. Many people can be seen among the shallow waters in Cattle-Bone simply relaxing, whether in the hotter or more comfortable area.
