Fortran Fraternity Organization in Soulbank | World Anvil

Fortran Fraternity

Fortran Fraternity is a collection of Archivists seeking some of the most primal functions underpinning the reality of Soulbank. Most of the Users in the organization are Wielders and Capacitors, divided into multiple rival Houses with differing cultures. Practically speaking, most of their energy is spent on their petty rivalries, but there is a unified direction forming under the charismatic Professor Ivor, seeking a collection of Authority functions known as the Setters.

Structure

Fortran Fraternity is divided into six Houses: Basic, Cobol, Godel, Hack, Lingo, and Occam. They regularly compete with each other in games that display their coding talents, filtered through byzantine politics.

Public Agenda

Fortran Fraternity nominally exists as a place for Users to learn how to manipulate The Archives and wield Authority. Their efforts are often stymied by the chaotic politics of rival houses.
