Amathus is a city-state in a middle of a technological revolution. The merchants-mages that rule it have found a way to enslave people to their will: they have created artificial bodies that can be animated by binding a soul to them. And any soul will do.
Most people are magically weak and make mediocre servants. However, millennia ago, a family of legendary mages-kings used to rule over Amathus, and they left their soul in jars in the mausoleum that lies under the city.
Galáteia awakens in this new world without any memory, with someone calling herself her mistress putting a knife in her hand and pointing her towards the tower where a rival merchant-mage resides...
