Surali III
3rd planet in the Surali system. Desert / sand planet. High temperature.
3 major settlements. Quite a few scattered mining communities.
Geography
Temperatures ranging from 80 - 120 degrees celcius makes this a pretty harsh environment. The 3 major settlements are underground.
LaFay
Located in the northern mountain ranges of the planet enjoys a a moderate temperature ranging from 35 -60 degrees celsius. Making it somewhat possible for housing and living on the surface. As most of the settlements on the planet this is also a mining city. The city is named after its founder Aron LaFay. Within a short distance of the city there are four strip mines often mistaken as huge asteroid craters.
Sermus Prime
Mining city. Located on the pretty much at the centre of the planet. Named after its founder Sermus Samus. Due to the extreme heat most of the city is located underground. Only guide towers for landing space crafts are visible on the sandy surface of desert sea that hides the 19 million inhabitants in the underground domed city. The dome was originally placed on the surface of the planet; but a major earthquake and fierce sand storms have swallowed the dome and as it turns out; living underground is actually cooler than on the surface, the city has expanded with a few additional underground domes. Old mining tunnels are used as highways leading to the newer domes located in close proximity of the main dome.
Sermus minor
Located on the southern part of the planet. Like its larger cousin this city is also located underground, but unlike Sermus Prime this was intentional by design. The city started as a small mining colony, but soon turned into a thriving city due to the wealth hidden just a few kilometers below the surface. Noqual in abundance.
Natural Resources
Common metals and Noqual .
